The IPS 48 Exterior Renovation Project is a comprehensive effort to enhance the structural integrity, energy efficiency, and aesthetic appeal of the school’s exterior. The project scope includes the demolition and reconstruction of key exterior elements, ensuring a modern, durable, and functional design that aligns with contemporary building standards.

Scope of Work:

  • Curtain Wall System Replacement – Demolition of the existing West side curtain wall system to allow for a full structural upgrade.
  • Exterior Wall Reconstruction – Rebuilding the 1st and 2nd-floor exterior wall configuration to improve insulation, weather resistance, and overall building performance.
  • Window Replacement – Removal of existing windows across all elevations of the building. & Installation of new, high-efficiency windows to enhance natural light, energy efficiency, and aesthetic appeal.
  • Exterior Metal Panel System Installation – Integration of a modern exterior metal panel system to improve durability and provide a refreshed architectural look.
  • Door Replacement – Replacement of all exterior doors with FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) doors, ensuring increased longevity, security, and resistance to wear and environmental factors.

This renovation project will significantly improve the school’s exterior functionality and longevity while creating a safer, more energy-efficient, and visually appealing environment for students, staff, and the community.
