The IPS 48 Exterior Renovation Project is a comprehensive effort to enhance the structural integrity, energy efficiency, and aesthetic appeal of the school’s exterior. The project scope includes the demolition and reconstruction of key exterior elements, ensuring a modern, durable, and functional design that aligns with contemporary building standards.
Scope of Work:
- Curtain Wall System Replacement – Demolition of the existing West side curtain wall system to allow for a full structural upgrade.
- Exterior Wall Reconstruction – Rebuilding the 1st and 2nd-floor exterior wall configuration to improve insulation, weather resistance, and overall building performance.
- Window Replacement – Removal of existing windows across all elevations of the building. & Installation of new, high-efficiency windows to enhance natural light, energy efficiency, and aesthetic appeal.
- Exterior Metal Panel System Installation – Integration of a modern exterior metal panel system to improve durability and provide a refreshed architectural look.
- Door Replacement – Replacement of all exterior doors with FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) doors, ensuring increased longevity, security, and resistance to wear and environmental factors.
