Shortridge High School – IB World School
Shuck Corporation recently completed a series of performance and infrastructure enhancements at Shortridge High School, elevating both the functionality and appearance of the school’s auditorium and stage. A central element of the project involved refinishing the existing wood stage flooring—carefully sanding, staining (color selected by the architect), and sealing it with two coats of satin urethane to restore its visual appeal and long-term durability.
In tandem with the flooring upgrades, Shuck executed a complete overhaul of the theatrical lighting and supporting electrical systems. This included replacing all stage lighting fixtures, installing updated power and control components, and integrating new distribution systems to improve performance capabilities. The scope also involved removing existing dimmer racks and replacing them with customer-provided units, seamlessly tied into the existing feeders per the bid specifications.
To complete the transformation, new stage curtains were installed, providing the auditorium with a polished, professional look that enhances the overall performance environment. This project reflects Shuck Corporation’s commitment to precision workmanship, attention to detail, and delivering high-quality results for educational performance spaces.
